Spinlight runs with the big dogs.
Multiple wins at district ADDYs set stage for national recognition.

Champaign, Illinois, April 24, 2007—With the porch fading into the pale distance behind them, Spinlight Studio continues to run with the big dogs.

At this point, leading the pack comes naturally to the small Champaign-based advertising agency and design studio. They've garnered 23 national and international awards over the last 2 years alone, with at least 47 additional local and district awards in the same period of time. And with recent multiple entries into the National ADDY Awards competition, they stand poised not only to run, but to win.

This time, the catalyst for national attention comes in the form of a long list of wins at the district ADDY awards. After winning 24 local-level ADDYs earlier this year, Spinlight moved on to the much tougher district-level competition. There, out of some 600 entries from all over Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan, they collected 9 more awards—1 gold and 8 silvers. Winners of gold and silver awards now advance to the prestigious National ADDYs.

"One of our philosophies has always been 'Go big or go home,'" says Matt Hutton, Spinlight principal and design director. "We're not really a 'We just need…' kind of company. When we do something, we want to do it all the way. We're about creating impact. It needs to be cool, for our sake as well as the client's."

With this no-holds-barred approach, Spinlight is quickly becoming known far beyond their own backyard. Thinking big and running hard, there's little chance they'll be heading for the porch anytime soon.
