iOS Tips and Troubleshooting.
My app doesn't have any sound.
The good news is that most sound issues are related to the settings on your iOS device and can easily be fixed by adjusting a few basic things. To solve the problem, follow these basic steps in order until sound is restored:
- Make sure the mute button is turned off. (The mute button is located just above the volume buttons on the side of your iOS device.)
- Turn up the volume using the volume buttons on the side of your iOS device. (Note: If you’re on an iPhone, make sure that the app is open when you adjust the volume. Otherwise, you’ll simply be adjusting the ringer.)
- If you’re using an iPad, you may have accidentally activated the soft mute button. To turn soft mute off, double click the home button and scroll the multitasking status bar to the left until you see the volume control buttons, then deactivate the mute button. (When this button is on, you’ll will hear system sounds but not application sounds. This is why you may not always realize when the soft mute button is engaged.)
- If you’re still having sound problems at this point, turn off and restart our iOS device, then open the app.
- If that doesn’t solve the problem, delete the app and reload it. (Apple allows you to re-download apps you already own at no additional charge.) Once you’ve downloaded the app, try playing it again. If this doesn’t solve the problem, contact us for additional support.
